I woke up thinking "how many famous people were born in Florida??". I knew there were many, so here I made a list of 15 of them...
1. Pitbull.
This rapper's real name is Armando Christian Pérez, and was born in 1981. Well known for songs like "I know you want me", "Hotel room service", "Don't stop the party", and his last biggest hit: "El Taxi".
2. Eva Mendes.
Awards winning, born in 1974, is considered one of the sexiest hispanic actresses. Well known for her roles in movies like "Training Day", "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Ghost Rider".
3. James Andrew Jones.
Born in 1980. This basketball player has played in 14 seasons in the NBA. He played with the Indiana Pacers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. He currently is the vice president of basketball operations for the Phoenix Suns.
4. Udonis Haslem.
Another basketball player born in Miami, on June 1980. Serving as the power forward for the Miami Heat, he has decided to stay in the city where he was born and raised.
5. Deborah Ann "Debbie" Harry.
1945 gave birth to this incredibly talented singer. Maybe you don't recognize her name, but she is the voice for the 80's pop/rock music band Blondie. Band that has created hits such as "Heart Of Glass", and their biggest hit "Maria".
6. Wilmer Eduardo Valderrama.
This actor has built an amazing career in both the small and big screen. Born in 1980, he is one of my favorite actors. Best known for the role of Fez in the sitcom "That's '70s Show", and his smaller role in "The Ranch".
7. Tramar Lacel Dillard.
This rapper, born in 1979, honors his home state by calling himself Flo Rida.
8. Victoria Jackson.
Conquered fame with "Saturday Night Live". Comedian, actress and humorist. Born in 1959.
9. Harry Wayne "K.C." Casey.
Born in 1951, he created the 70s/80s pop music band KC and the Sunshine Band. Composer of hits like "That's the way (I like it)", "Please Don't Go", and "Shake, shake, shake", and produced other hits for other musicians.
10. Catherine Keener.
Catherine was born in Miami in 1959. She is well known for being in the movies "Being John Malkovich" and "Capote". She also appeared in the films "The 40-year-old Virgin" and "Into The Wild", among others.
11. Lauren Jauregui.
Young singer, former member of the all-girl-band Fifth Harmony, was born in Miami in 1996. Fifth Harmony has created pop hits such as "Work From Home".
12. Jason Derulo.
Since 2009, this singer born in 1989, has sold over 30 million singles, and has achieved 11 platinum singles. He made some big hits like "Tip Toe", "Swalla", and "Marry Me".
13. Sean Kingston.
Born in 1990, his real name is Kisean Anderson. Singer, songwriter and rapper. Composed the song "Beautiful Girls", which was huge in 2007.
14. Marco Rubio.
This republican party member is a politician, attorney and the junior United States Senator for Florida, was born in 1971, in Miami.
15. Jim Morrison.
Singer, songwriter and poet, remembered as the lead singer of The Doors. Everybody knows The Doors, and their hits "Light My Fire" and "Riders On The Storm". Born in 1943 in Melbourne, and died in 1971 in Paris, France.
